Game of G.N.A.R.

Now a cult classic film, The Game of G.N.A.R. originally began as a competition hosted by Unofficial Networks in Squaw Valley, California. The event was created to commemorate the life of pro skier Shane McConkey, who tragically died while attempting a double backflip off a cliff before flying away in his wingsuit.

The game was designed to make skiing even more fun by assigning points to various outrageous stunts, such as skiing naked, calling your mother while skiing a challenging run, or cooking breakfast in the lift line. Amidst all the fun, you can catch glimpses of what has shaped all-mountain skiing as we know it today.

Though outlandish and absurd, the film is also a heartfelt tribute to a man who inspired countless others by living every day as if it were his last.
